WE USE BRAND-NEW HIGH-GRADE NIMH CELLS
As a Honda Insight or Civic owner, particularly those with older models or salvage cars, you play a crucial role in the maintenance and care of your vehicle. While Honda IMA batteries can last long, they do not outlast the car. The IMA warranty expires on the earliest Honda Insights and Civics, and it is void on Salvage cars.
By repairing your IMA battery, you can significantly enhance the longevity of your vehicle’s assistance, regen, and MPG. You can gauge your Insight’s battery’s usable capacity by observing its state of charge (SoC) gauge range. A healthy battery will move through the entire range. As the battery degrades, it will push through fewer LCD bars on the indicator. A check engine light and IMA light will come on with the P1447, P1449, and P1600 codes once the battery’s capacity is reduced to about a third of what it was when it left the factory, which corresponds to a battery that moves through only about 5-6 bars on the gauge.
